Thomas Simonet

Mr. Thomas J. Simonet currently serves as Minnesota State Chair for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) after serving as a volunteer member, Unit Liaison, Deputy Minnesota Region 7 Chair, and Minnesota Vice Chair. He has volunteered with ESGR for the past 12 years. For civilian experience, Mr. Simonet retired from Wells Fargo and Company in July 2017 after 34 years of service. As a Business System Consultant, he focused on system applications designed to balance and control retirement services of 401k and pension plan accounting. His military experience finished with the US Air Force Reserve as an Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer coordinating federal military assistance to devastated areas after man-made or natural disasters. He also served with the Minnesota Air National Guard holding command leadership positions at the group, squadron and flight levels. Mr. Simonet retired from military after 36 years of active guard and reserve service.

Mr. Simonet supports other charitable organizations as a board member to include; Washington County Historical Society, Stillwater Veterans Memorial, Minnesota National Guard Youth Camp and Wells Fargo Veteran Team Member Network. His board positions include being the chairperson, treasurer and board member at large.

Mr. Simonet received his undergraduate education from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, MN, and his Master in Business Administration from American Military University in 2014. He is also a graduate of the United States Air War College by correspondence and is a life-long resident of Stillwater, Minnesota
